Who we are
What data we collect and why we collect it
We may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, age, gender, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us when you choose to participate in various activities related to the Site, such as filling out a contact form or posting a comment. This information is only used by us to enhance your online experience and to answer direct inquires you have submitted. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however, your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Site (namely the contact form).
Like many other Web sites, SBMC makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s experience around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website via a comment, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
At the writing of this policy, we do not have a login feature, however, that may change in the future. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
DoubleClick DART Cookie
- Google’s use of DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to sbmc.com and other sites on the internet.
If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browser’s respective websites.
Embedded content from other websites
Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We may also partner with selected third-party vendors (such as Adobe, Google Analytics, MonsterInsights, and others), to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on the Site through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyze and track users’ use of the Site, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. By accessing the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policies and contact them directly for responses to your questions. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors. However, if you do not want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, you can visit the third-party vendor or the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool. You should be aware that getting a new computer, installing a new browser, upgrading an existing browser, or erasing or otherwise altering your browser’s cookie files may also clear certain opt-out cookies, plug-ins, or settings.
